Living in Norfolk, I’m lucky enough to visit some stunning wedding venues across East Anglia. We all know that planning a wedding can be both exhilarating and daunting, and one of the most important decisions you’ll make is choosing the perfect venue. So I’ve made a guide to 10 wedding venues in the East of England I’ve played at, to help you find the perfect spot for your special day.

Southwood Hall

Set in Freethorpe, Norfolk, Southwood Hall is a beautiful wedding venue set in several acres so there is plenty of space for you and your guests to enjoy. Whether you choose to have the ceremony inside or outside the grounds are perfect for any weather on your day. I had my first outing at Southwood Hall in September 2023 playing for the wedding of Elliott & Beth. Set in the courtyard outside, I played for the couples drinks reception as the room inside was being turned round from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast.

Bressingham Hall

Bressingham Hall and High Barn is a fabulous Norfolk wedding venue, set amongst the world renowned Bressingham Gardens and located on the border of Norfolk and Suffolk. I played here with KSD Events back in June 2024 for the wedding of Ellen and Harry for their evening reception. A perfect space for your evening reception as the Bar is in the same room as the dance floor, a key part of any wedding as you don’t want to split your wedding party up into two separate rooms.

Elms Barn

This 17th-century Norfolk wedding barn, located in the heart of the Waveney Valley and a short drive from Beccles and Norwich, provides a unique blend of rustic charm and elegance for your wedding ceremony and evening reception. I’ve played at this venue for drinks receptions and throughout the wedding breakfast and both the inside and outside setting is gorgeous for your day.

Hunters Hall

One thing I love about Hunters Hall is the rustic charm is has in its traditional barn setting. The last wedding I played here was around Christmas time so the warm lights and cosy surrounding made this wedding so wholesome. The venue has a dedicated and experienced wedding team that assists with planning and coordinating the event who are AMAZING.
