Katie & Sarah’s Wedding

I always love it when couples book me as a surprise for their wedding and Sarah’s choice for how I should start was definitely one way to make an entrance.

Katie and Sarah’s wedding was set at the stunning St Ffraed House in Abergavenny, so a quick trip across the English/Welsh border to this picturesque venue. I set up briefly in the bar area for the cocktail hour after the speeches and got ready behind a curtain to make my entrance for Sarah’s choice of song, ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ timed perfectly to close her speech..

Cue the music, chanting and the banging of tambourines from guests, this went down a hit with all the guests with photographs captured beautifully by Oliver Rees.

Now for the cocktail hour playing songs requested by Sarah such as mellow classics like ‘She’s The One’ by Robbie Williams and ‘Careless Whisper’ by George Michael followed by disco dance floor favourites like ‘Ain’t Nobody’ by Chaka Khan and Young Hearts Run Free by Candi Staton.

An unforgettable evening and so pleased the surprise went down a treat and I’m looking forward to returning to St Ffraed House in 2025.
